Social software is emerging at a fast pace. Sites like Flickr and Del.icio.us allow people to tag photo and websites for others to find quickly. These then are open and shared with everyone.
Taggregator is a site that searches for tags at Flickr and Del.icio.us on one page. This then gives you a list of the most current photos and website that have been tagged by others from those two sites.
Try it out and see what you get. It's kind of just fun to see what others are doing out there. What a unique way to get a pulse on the culture.
So I am wondering what Apple is going to do with customers like me that have purchased Keynote already. Since iWork is Page and Keynote together, do I get some sort of discount for paying for my 1.0 version of Keynote? Or do I have to buy it all again? If so, that really blows. Anyone know for sure?
I can't wait for and my students and me to get our hands on this app.---- iWork. The templates look very nice. Making a well designed document can actually be fun, especially when the design aspect is already done for you. The samples on Apple's site look impressive. If I could churn out something looking like these examples on a regular basis, I would be quite happy.
So finally all of us mac fans have the real facts and not gossip about the up and coming Apple products. After the expo hoopla I think I am most excited about iWork (especially Pages) and iLife 05 (especially iPhoto). It's probably because these are the two things that I do the most...take digital photos and word process. Ok, a revamp of Safari would have been the number one used app. but I guess I have to wait until the release of Tiger. I really like the idea of templates in Pages. On the PC they have Publisher which I have enjoyed using in the past and wished that the mac had something similar. Now my day has come. Easy is good. Not only for me but for my students. Incorporating all of the parts of the process (photos, graphs, etc.) makes life easier. I am sure that many documents will look the same at first but I'm sure many more templates will come out and folks will learn to manipulate the parts of the templates. I can also see the benefits of the iPod Shuffle. I can see the uses in education and excited to see these tools being inplemented in classes.
Soooo.....I can't wait to get my grubby hands on these things. :-)
